Getting the attention of a visitors is one of the main objectives of a blog, we create content so that a user lands on our blog and performs an action we want them to take. Notification bars can help us get more people give attention to a particular thing.
So, in this post we will list out few WordPress plugins that will help us create notification bars.
MyThemeShop is becoming my favourite developer as they keep bringing exactly the products I need for my blog. They released Notification Bar Plugin just a day after I was in need of one after the trial period of SumoMe was over.
Their tool has many options to create a notification bar as per your requirement, you can change the type or the appearance of the bars, you can even choose where you want to display it, for example I am currently using the Notification Bar on one of my blogs and the bar is only visible to mobile users as I am promoting the app of that blog, it has increased my installs from 5-6 to 50-60 that’s a very huge difference.
Prior to using Notification bar from MyThemeShop, I was using smart bar by SumoMe, it’s simple an incredible tool that lets you create notification bars easily plus it also gives you stats that help you see how it is performing, that helps you deciding what else you can do to make it better.
Smart bars is one of the tools SumoMe offers to webmasters. However, the tool comes with few limitations that can be lifted upon upgrading to a pro account that will cost you $9.99/month.
But the features offered in the pro account it totally worth if your blog is getting high amount of traffic and a simple tweak can result in huge different in the conversion rate. Or you are not someone who wants to play with plugins.
SumoMe makes it very easy to configure it to your blog, just put a few lines of code in your blog and you are good to go. They SumoMe dashboard is very data rich but it does not slow down your blog
Another best Notification bar I can recommend to the readers is the Hello Bar offered by Neil Patel.
Neil Patel is a great guy, he knows what works and what is important for a blog, that’s why he built a simple tool like the Hello Bar and offers it to bloggers for free (though with some limitations).
If you are just starting out, and just want to see how it works for you, you can go for the Hello Bar, you can even stick to it if you do not a lot of features like changing font size or colours or anything other change in the appearance.
But, if you want more control over the Notification bar without paying a monthly subscription fees, like in the case of SumoMe, the Notification Bar by MTS is the best thing to buy.
I hope this helps you make a better decision in choosing the best solution for your problem.
