I’ve been creating content online since 2007, and I’ve got a couple of projects running simultaneously. I have a wife and two sons that also demand time. So my regular days are pretty hectic as I switch between tasks.
There are skills I have acquired over the years, and I rarely find myself clueless about what to do. The credit goes to my time management skills and my organizational skills. Time management skills I’ll share in a separate post, but I’m sharing my organizational skills in this article.
It’s Notion. Although I started using Notion at the beginning of 2020, I have always used some online notebooks to have everything organized. But Notion feels like I have finally got what I wanted to keep my online business organized.
What is Notion?
A notion is a powerful tool to help online business owners manage their businesses. It is simple to use and can be customized to fit the needs of any business.
The Notion can help business owners keep track of their customers, tasks, and projects. It can also be used to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The Notion is essential for anyone who wants to run their online business efficiently.
What is Notion for Me?
Notion is like an online notebook where I note down everything about my business. I have different pages for the websites I have. Each page has many more sub-pages dedicated to a different aspect of that website, such as the Youtube Channel, the Blog, and SEO. It has other sub-pages with information relevant to that aspect of the business.
Notion is pretty flexible when it comes to storing information. In the past, I’ve used many other services like Trello, Microsoft To-Do, and Evernote, but Notion is a mix of all of these services.
Different Uses of Notion
Use it like a To Do List, where you can start reminders, put due dates, and assign them to someone if you have other people onboard.
You can also use it for writing blog posts that are complex, blog posts that have many sub-topics you want to write about as separate articles. You can map it all in Notion to have a visual understanding.
It can also be used as a script-writing tool or a list of ideas for videos. You can create a Content Calendar, a list of things you must go through before publishing a video on YouTube.
The best part is that there are templates offered by Notion and other users, which makes it super easy to get started.
How to Get Started with Notion?
It feels overwhelming to start, but give it a few hours and start. Just create a page about your business and then create sub-pages about different aspects you want to keep track of. You can continue removing or adding elements whenever you want.
